Condition
The bike was stripped down to the frame (drivetrain stayed in) over the winter and cleaned, polished, waxed, lubed and checked over. Chrome is in good shape with a little corrosion on the tops of the valve covers under the gas tank, and a scrape under the primary from a low-speed drop (this drop also caused the scrapes on the windshield). Paint is in great shape with one small scratch on the rear fender (which I’ve touched up, wet sanded and buffed), a couple small nicks in the clear where the seat bolt goes in the top of the rear fender, and two small chips on the front fender. Very minor for a 17 year old bike. Paint is shiny and was buffed and waxed this spring.
The bike runs great. I’ve taken it to Laconia and York and put about 5,000 miles on it and it runs strong and hard. It’s got a lot of pull through the mid range and is smooth on the freeway. Some light motor work done by previous owners. My mechanic thinks the heads have been shaved down and maybe a performance torque cam. It comes with US Saddlebags leather throw-over saddlebags and two seats along with a new (this year) cover.
